Morepe Ncalo

CA (SA) MCom (Computer Auditing)

Morepe Ncalo is a seasoned Chartered Accountant with a strong dedication to teaching and mentoring in the auditing profession. She brings together practical expertise gained from achieving her CA qualifications (ITC and APC) and contributing to the examination process, alongside robust technical knowledge developed during her successful tenure as one of the top performing trainees at Deloitte. Her professional journey encompasses diverse audit experience, spanning private sector engagements and public sector involvement with AGSA and in the UAE.
Driven by her attention to detail and a passion for the advancement of auditing, Morepe’s key achievements include developing future professionals and contributing to thought leadership within the field. Notably, she has co-authored a book chapter on the impact of Artificial Intelligence on accounting, auditing, and finance. Ultimately, Morepe is dedicated to building a supportive community focused on empowering aspiring Chartered Accountants

Akona Gazi-Babana

CA (SA) MPhil (Development Finance)

Akona, widely known as Mrs B, is a qualified Chartered Accountant with a strong passion for accounting education and the development of future CA(SA) professionals. Her academic career began at Walter Sisulu University in 2014, where she played a key role in the re-accreditation of the university’s BCompt degree, successfully achieved in 2016. Akona’s expertise lies in financial reporting, with a particular interest in group reporting and deferred tax. Her extensive experience in academia, coupled with her deep understanding of the APC examinations process, significantly contributes to the success of many candidates. In recognition of her impact, Akona was a SAICA Top 35 under 35 Award finalist in 2021, winning the Influencer Category. That same year, she was honored as the Academic Woman of the Year by ABASA. She is also a co-author of the “Descriptive Accounting and Introduction to IFRS” textbook. Akona’s passion for empowering and developing young people, a philosophy she describes as Ubuntu or ‘lifting as she rises,’ is the driving force behind her work

Sikhunjulwe Mbuya

CA (SA), MBA

Sikhunjulwe “Sikhu” Mbuya is a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA) with an MBA from WITS Business School. She is also a Professional Director, holding positions on three company boards, and currently serves as a Regional Finance Director for a travel organization. Her experience spans both Francophone and Anglophone countries across East, West, and Southern Africa. Notably, she completed her articles outside of public practice (TOPP) and has built her career in commerce and industry.”
“Sikhu is passionate about mentoring aspiring CA(SA) professionals, drawing from her own journey. She is a seasoned marker for SAICA professional exams since 2015 and also contributes to marking teams for professional program providers, as well as the Tax Honours programs at UNISA and Milpark. Guided by the African proverb, “If you want to go fast, go alone. But, if you want to go far, go together,” Sikhu is dedicated to providing guidance and support to ambitious young individuals pursuing the CA(SA) designation

Sisa Njongwe

CA (SA), MBA (Oxon)

Sisa T. Njongwe is an investment professional at a leading Africa-focused infrastructure investment management fund based in Johannesburg, South Africa. The fund specialises in sustainable infrastructure opportunities across Sub-Saharan Africa. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant, and has over 11 years of investment banking, private equity, and project finance experience.

Prior to joining the fund, Sisa was at a leading independent power producer, where he was a Senior Associate in the Investment and Funding Group, responsible for leading project finance, new investment, and M&A activities. Prior to that, he was the Chief Commercial Officer at an innovative healthcare company delivering quality healthcare services using health technology. Prior to that, he was a transactor at Senatla Capital and at Nedbank CIB’s Infrastructure, Public Sector, and Technology, Media and Telecoms team where he also completed a secondment in London, UK, at Old Mutual Plc in the Corporate Finance and Strategy team.

Sisa has also served a number of community organizations and currently sits on several portfolio company boards, working with portfolio company management teams to deliver increased performance and growth. 

He is a graduate of the University of Oxford where he was reading for his Master in Business Administration. He is also a Chevening Scholar.

Lehlohonolo Ramokoena

CA (SA), CFA (level 1)

Lehlohonolo Ramokoena is a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA) and a Level II candidate in the CFA® program. He completed his training at KPMG, including a secondment to Germany to audit international listed companies. He has also worked for Ernst & Young and is currently employed at ABSA as a Specialist Accounting Control Process Executor for African Regional Offices.”

Nthabiseng Mabuya

CA (SA)

Nthabiseng Mabuya is a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA) currently working as a Senior Auditor in the public sector. She holds a Bachelor of Accounting (BAcc) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting Science (PGDA) from the University of the Johannesburg. Nthabiseng is passionate about developing young professionals and has experience in leadership and management, notably as the Chairperson of the Young Professionals Leadership Forum.”
“With a background in leadership and corporate growth, she has a history of mentoring and managing teams. Nthabiseng has extensive experience in mentoring and coaching over 1000 candidates preparing for the SAICA APC Board Exam, demonstrating her commitment to supporting aspiring Chartered Accountants. Her achievements include being a 2024 SAICA Trainee Trailblazer Finalist and a SAICA Resilience Award winner.

Natasha Singo

MCom (Computer Auditing)

Natasha Singo is an accomplished accounting professional and Lecturer at the University of Johannesburg. She holds a Master’s degree in Computer Auditing and currently serving as a Director of a private company. Her expertise spans internal auditing, corporate governance, Accounting, and academic research. Her research interests include sustainability, digital trust, and gender representation in corporate governance structures within South Africa’s top listed companies.  When she’s not crunching numbers or writing research papers, you’ll find her exploring nature reserves, curating playlists, or perfecting her soft skills.
